Welcome to our e-democracy Blog.

A few words about us:

The access2democracy non-profit N.G.O. was established in Athens and New York by a group of prominent, like-minded world citizens aiming to become a leading international civil society organization in the field of e-democracy.

Our Mission
access2democracy aims to promote the principles and practice of participatory e-democracy within the global arena.

Our Vision
A democratic global society with open, transparent and secure multi-way channels of communication among all citizens and social actors.
A society which recognizes and respects as a fundamental right, the unhindered access of its citizens to informed deliberation and decision-making processes.
A society which ensures and safeguards that the means for access are provided and distributed equally across all sectors of society and to all citizens, irrespective of their sex, race, class, creed, religion, ethnicity and origin.

Governance principles
a2d values its independence from commercial, political or other interests. At the same time we seek cooperation with all social actors (from governments to corporate entities). For better governance through e-democracy to be attained, all segments of society must collaborate in order to reach a constructive consensus.
